Hello and here we are at Perfectly Paranormal episode I07
My name is Anna Schmidt, and I'm here every week to share with you true paranormal encounters and information about devils, demons and dark energy beings that no one else talks about. Today, today you will learn some handy grounding tactics to help ward off entities looking for ungrounded individuals to shack up with. We will briefly unpack what grounding is and why it is important, before we get onto the signs and symptoms of being ungrounded, what disrupts your grounding and easy practices you can do every day to stay grounded. This is a long episode, so settle down with a drink and a snack and away we go…
WHAT IS GROUNDING AND WHY IS GROUNDING SO IMPORTANT?
Grounding is also called Earthing and I think of it as being fully present in mind, body and spirit so we can function in this reality. And I will explain this more in a moment… If our energy is ungrounded, dark beings can get closer to us and possibly affect our mental, and emotional states, and enhance energetic disruption which may also affect the function of our physical bodies. And when we are stressed, brain foggy and unfocussed we get frustrated, angry, burdened, overwhelmed… you can see where I am going with this… we create the emotional energy food for the entities around us. Ungrounded = easy food source for passing entities.
So, grounding, I think of grounding as having 3 components and let me explain...
We have two separate elements to the bodies we live in and they have equal importance. Obviously, we have the fleshy physical body which is the first component that physically interacts with the Earth's environment. Then we have our energy body.
The physical body contains and carries around our energy body which houses our chakras, meridian lines, energy field and soul energy. Both components need to be constantly interconnected for us to be fully functional in this reality, but also, in a sense, grounding raises your vibration and spiritual connection. While you are grounded you are connected to Universal energy through your chakra system - below the body, in the body and above the body. I think of us having I3 chakras but I am sure there are more.
We also have our mental and emotional selves which fit into both the physical and energy side of things we need to be stable and centred otherwise we can spiral downhill mentally and emotionally. Later in this episode, I share some simple practices and processes you can use to ground all components of the self thus helping to ward off dark entity attention.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF BEING UNGROUNDED
A quick rundown of some signs and symptoms of being ungrounded are short or long-term brain fog, feeling unfocussed, experiencing strange confusion and messy thinking, can’t follow routines or processes, being distracted and daydreaming constantly, scatty, vague or spaced out, dizziness, a racing heartbeat, shaky hands or your hands can’t settle, you can’t finish projects and flip from one to the other creating more mess and stress, you feel high and low at the same time or switch suddenly from one to the other and this stresses you out, you may start catastrophising, or feel lost in life and your thoughts can run in loops and life feels like an unmanageable burden.
I have experienced many of these symptoms in the past but not now. And as I always say these symptoms might have a medical or mental health cause so always see your doctor first before assuming you is that you are just ungrounded.
WHAT DISRUPTS GROUNDING?
There are behaviours, actions and activities that can affect and disrupt grounding and the connection between the mind, body and spirit causing us to be ungrounded such as:
- Psychic and spiritual activities you don’t fully understand or you get slapdash about protection and grounding. Activities such as going into trance-like states leave your brow, crown and higher chakras way too open. Some psychic and spiritual activities open portals in chakras, letting entities in or can create tears in your chakras and your energy leaks out and you might experience extreme headaches and lethargy. I know because I have had these types of sudden headaches and when I check, I have tears in my brow chakra.
- Also, as you work on yourself spiritually or you are an energy worker, you need to adapt and upgrade your grounding practices often. Don’t just assume, she’ll be right mate and the universe will look after me… it doesn’t work that way. I use 4 different practices daily to keep me focused and functional because I spend a lot of time in other realities.
- Astral traveling – leaving your body to move around the universe can leave you susceptible to entity attention and possibly hitchhikers and grounding fully back into your body is important to not leave any gaps for sneaky entities to slip in.
- Trauma to the physical body – sudden shocks or major accidents that disrupt your life in a big way jolting the energy body and physical body connection causing you to feel ungrounded, emotional and out of sorts.
- Addictions involving mind-altering substances alter your energy and may disconnect, change or modify your grounding connection between mind and body. Some people experience psychotic episodes, creating anxiety and other negative emotions that can attract dark entities.
- Reckless or self-destructive behaviours connected to mental and emotional health issues that damage your mind-body connection. Get professional help.
- Black magic and satanic practices take your energy to very low vibrational places and you naturally attract the dark entities because of your intention to connect with dark realities.
Also, I have found house-clearing clients living in ungrounded buildings that are full of detrimental emotional, trauma energy, magic energy and addiction residual energy that can affect the occupant's mind and body functioning leaving them feeling spacey, vague and out of sorts and they don’t know why. After I finish a house energy clearing I always ask Universal powers that be to ground the land and all buildings on the property.
EASY WAYS TO GROUND YOURSELF
I like to ground my physical body with outdoor activities, my energy body with safe spiritual practices such as visualisations which I will share very soon and mentally and emotionally with mindfulness of my thoughts, words, actions, reactions and beings accountable and not letting life’s difficulties take control.
Physically
Grounding physically can be done with many types of physical activities. It must be an activity you enjoy so you put your energy freely into doing it every day such as:
- Dancing, singing, yoga, martial arts, gardening, mowing the lawns, working with nature – pruning trees, planting seedlings, getting your hands in the dirt, also walking barefoot on grass, on the beach and swimming.
- I take breaks from my energy work and go outside and talk to my chooks, tomatoes and other plants, it makes me feel good and connected to the earthy environment around me and also sends out a great vibe.
- Eating grounding foods – usually heavy foods like pasta, rice, corn chips etc but this can be a problem as I found out if you are watching your weight, so I steer clear of heavy carb food but I find meat can be grounding, if I want a grounding food.
- Using your senses – touch your surroundings, pat your pets, smell the air and the flowers I love to look at my garden and enjoy the shapes and colours of the succulents and the birds interacting with the flowers, this activity keeps me in the moment and grounded - let your eyes and ears enjoy what is around you.
- Some people enjoy yoga, tai chi or qigong practices in gardens or parks or on the beach as their daily grounding practice.
- Eating slowly and mindfully can be grounding, enjoying your food and being in the moment.
- If you can’t get outside for physical grounding practices, that is ok, don’t stress, you can visualise your garden, a forest, the beach, flowers, your veggie garden etc for grounding practices. Intention and attention create your grounding, mentally, emotionally, physically and energetically.
Energetically
- Mindfulness again plays a big part in energetic grounding. Choosing psychic or spiritual activities and focusing on the process step by step, not skipping to the outcome. You can use practices such as:
- Breath meditation
- ·Visualising lowering yourself into Mother Earth or going to crystal caves in Mother Earth and wrapping yourself up in their energy.
- I ask higher vibrational beings to help with my grounding. If you work with or like the Arch Angel connection, Arch Angel Metatron is said to be able to help us with the spiritual grounding of our energy bodies.
Mentally and emotionally
Mindfulness and observing yourself and not stressing about work, home, or what is coming up on the calendar as these thoughts and stressors can create problems with solid consistent grounding. Using breath meditations helps to calm the mind, centre our energy and relax our bodies. If you are feeling stressed, stop what you are doing and focus on breathing slowly in through your nose and holding for a count of 4 and then slowly breathing out through your mouth to a count of 4 and repeating if necessary. Seek help through counselling and mental health professionals if life is spiralling out of control. There is no shame in asking for help.
