#144 Jinn & demons - Are they similar and how do they affect us

Do you know the difference between demons and Jinn, their behaviours and tactics towards us? I learnt about Jinn recently and was a little bit surprised when a religious demonologist friend discussed these beings and it got me wondering, what have I been clearing from homes and other places all these years – Jinn or demonic entities or both? And I have 2 short experiences to share with you.

Hello and here we are at Perfectly Paranormal episode 144

My name is Anna Schmidt, and I'm here every week to share with you true paranormal encounters and information about devils, demons and dark energy beings that no one else talks about. Today, today, you will learn the difference between demons and Jinn, their behaviours and tactics towards us. Also, how I was confused at first when a religious demonologist explained the natures and differences between these two types of beings. It got me wondering, what have I been clearing from homes and other places all these years – Jinn or dark and demonic entities or both? I am always open to new perspectives, and the information she shared was fascinating and sent me on a deep dive.

Jinn - Are Djinn, Jinn or Genies like the blue guy from Aladdin’s Lamp the same ?

Yes and no - The name Jinn is derived from the Arabic ijtinan, which means 'to be concealed from sight'. Jinn are ancient entities, unseen, powerful influencers, possibly shapeshifters, originating in Islamic and Middle Eastern lore. Their behaviours can be good, evil or neutral, Whereas the word ‘ Genie’ is a westernised term describing a magical servant jinn attached to an object setting about to do the will of the object’s owner by granting wishes.

Demonic entities described in the Bible are pure evil. The evil Jinn can possess people in a similar fashion to other demonic entities and affect people’s emotional and mental health, and possibly their physical health. It is difficult to pick the differences between the two types of entities unless you do a deep dive and gather research. Even then, there are soooo many similarities between these beings and for years I thought they were the same thing.

FREE WILL - One big difference between Jinn and demons is that Jinn have free will; they can choose to interact with us or not on their terms, which is interesting because a lot of the entities I come across in places, homes and sometimes people can choose where to go when they leave the location or client.  Whereas demonic entities have no free will, they are tethered to God as eternal workers, told what to do in the Earth environment, sent to challenge us and tempt us and test our faith. The evil jinn can be like that too.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH WHAT I NOW THINK WAS A JINN - I once had a defector entity appear over my bed one night as a pair of red eyes and communicated by closing his eyes once for ‘yes’ and twice for ‘no’. He had had enough of servitude and wanted to transition into the higher realms. This entity didn’t hurt or harm me in any way; he just wanted help and behaved accordingly.

Also, I had a family member once who told me to my face that I worked with the Jinn. My Dad, a very private man, had broad religious beliefs throughout his 75 years of living, and for him to come out with that was a little shocking to me. I didn’t know what to say. He was quite psychic but rarely spoke about spirituality or religion, so I wonder if he saw a ‘jinn’ type entity around me that day, which was very possible.

JINN COMPANIONS OR WATCHERS - The Quareen is mentioned in The Hadith, ancient Islamic documents, secondary to the Quran, says the Quareen is a spiritual jinn companion – ‘Quareen‘ means companion or friend in Islam assigned to people at birth. The jinn companion can be a tempter of sinful evil choices, like the little devil that sits on your shoulder, tempting you and leading you astray in our lifelong spiritual battle to better ourselves through our power of choice.

AN AHHA MOMENT - Now this is interesting – while researching this episode… I came across a reference to Jinn, human faeces and thus public toilet amenities. Back in episode 141, Angela had an experience in a public toilet block here in Tasmania… was this a Jinn? Loui, Angela’s partner, said it took him three tries to get the entity to leave, which I thought was unusual. I had shared my clearing process with Loui, and once usually does the trick.  A JINN'S WEAKNESSES COMPARED TO DEMONIC WEAKNESSES

JINN – are said to fear Iron and wolves. Iron was mentioned a lot online. Iron to jinn is like kryptonite to Superman; it weakens them, and they can’t perform their usual superpowers. Also, certain prayers or verses said from the Quran can repel jinn, and on a lesser note, Jinn can be warded off by musk-like oils and perfumes in some circumstances.

DEMONS – Demons are repulsed and weakened by religious sacramentals such as the name of God, holy water, and imprecatory prayers said by an exorcist during the exorcism process.

 SIGNS OF JINN PRESENCE IN A PERSON

The similarities between jinn and demonic presence and possession are very similar, and there are many, many signs and symptoms that cross into medical and mental health conditions. I did 3 whole episodes outlining signs and symptoms back in episode #42, where I talked possession, and episodes #I04 – knowing how your body senses paranormal presence and #I05 on paranormal signs and symptoms in and on the body. In all 3 episodes, I share what I have witnessed over 30 years in myself, friends, clients and places where unseen entities have been residing and the shared information can relate to both Jinn and demonic entities.

JINN ALWAYS WANT SOMETHING IN RETURN

If you are thinking as some people do when they want revenge… I might get my Jinn companion to hurt ( NAME) because of what they did to me… there is always a price to pay, the jinn will want something in return and you might end up paying for all of eternity, so play nice, deal with your problems, don’t blame others, be accountable and keep your ego in check and this applies to me too. We are always being tested, as I shared back in episode #I38 where I discussed spiritual war and the eternal battleground here on Earth that we live in every day

So, can Jinn read our minds… Ahhh that is a topic for next week’s episode, episode I45, where we will look at the possibly powers of demonic deduction and can they read your mind. Can the Jinn read our minds to or do they both access our thoughts, determining our actions another way?
