Hello, and here we are at Perfectly Paranormal episode 166

My name is Anna Schmidt, and I'm here every week to share with you true paranormal encounters and information about devils, demons and dark energy beings that no one else talks about. Today, today, I have a question from a confused listener. Ben wants to know if entities and spirits are more active at night, like everybody tells him. What do you think? When have you experienced paranormal activity? In the day, night, or afternoon tea time? Let’s get into unpacking Ben’s question. As you know, I love a deep dive to find all the options.

I know from personal experience that paranormal beings of all sorts are around us all the time, so why do people think ghosts and dark beings are more prevalent and get more responses at nighttime? I have 8 possible causes to explain this…

1.     Spirits are active both day and night. Our pets often see fleeting glimpses of ‘something’ that shouldn’t be there, and depending on where the spirits are located will often determine when they are most active. If people are out of the home during the day, at work, and so forth, of course, no one will see their activity. When you are home after work, eating dinner, watching tv and going to bed, you are of course going to sense, feel or experience their chosen method to get your attention – seeing shimmering misty shapes, hearing loud footsteps or items falling, etc. Spirits usually want your attention because they need help or have something to say, not necessarily for nefarious reasons, and no, they don’t have more power at night.

2.     On the other hand, basically, demonic entities know from our consistent patterns of fear behaviour created through mainstream societal perceptions and watching scary movies that people are more scared of the nighttime because that is what has been drummed into our brains.

3.     Another thing, sleep paralysis and half asleep/half awake vivid hallucinations happen usually because of changes in brain activity during sleep, and people say they see shadow people and dark entities… this may be true or not, depending on your personal opinion on the subject.

4.     When you are wandering around the house at night, your eyes naturally see less in nighttime darkness, and our brains fill in the gaps, getting the adrenaline pumping from the possibility of something lurking in dark corners, behind doors, in cupboards and of course in the basement. This does depend on your individual level of fear or curiosity about the paranormal.

5.     This is a big one… the quietness of nighttime makes a big contribution to paranormal perception at night. This refers to external quietness in the environment and also internal quietness within people relaxing after work, going to bed, getting a glass of water in the middle of the night,

6.     Most of us are so busy during the day that most of the time, we don’t have time to notice subtle energetic shifts in the environment. Nighttime is the time when we are mentally going over our day – the possible struggles, dramas, negative experiences and that attracts the entities to us from the vibes our brains and emotions are pumping out. I suggest writing down your problems and concerns and dealing with them in the morning.

7.     Hyper alertness… this I can relate to. I am a very light sleeper, always have been and hear, see and mostly feel anything and everything going on in my immediate vicinity when I am in bed. I have learnt to ignore it all over the years, and if I do wake up, I don’t get stressed… I just relax and drift back off to sleep.

8.     And lastly, demons don’t waste their energy during the day; they strike when they will get the maximum emotional responses from people to feed their needs. So next time you think you hear that strange ‘something’ going bump in the night, just ignore it and go back to sleep.

So, in episode I67, you will learn how to decode your dark dreams and identify demonic influence. What more can I say? Stay tuned for next week’s exposé on entities in the night.  I look forward to spending some spooky time with you next week.
